Kyou Ryuujin ( 竜神 暁 ) is the third child to Tatsuya Ryuujin, a retired Pro-Hero from Japan, and Chiyo Watanabe, a quirkless woman who met Tatsuya while he was abroad in Canada. The couple were planning ahead of what would come for their children and what sorts of quirks would manifest, as Tatsuya's “Dragon's Breath” quirk was something that needed to be planned ahead in case it showed in any of their children. Both Akiro and Hiroshi were showing early signs of something similar to their father's quirk, so he was hoping for the same when it came to Kyou. However, due to Chiyo's quirkless state, her own father's quirk passed down through her and manifested in the young child instead.Despite it's usefulness now, it was a not-so-useful quirk back when it first manifested. Their grandfather was rather the pessimist when finding out that young Kyou's quirk came from him, as he never went into becoming a Pro-Hero, nor did he think that the quirk would help in the long run if the child ever desired in becoming one. Because of this, and the fact that their mother and father treated them as if they needed a handicap, Kyou became distraught over the idea of forever being someone who couldn't become a Pro. However, pride welled up within the child and, out of pure spit to those who began to not believe, worked their way into Canada's Pro Hero course before graduating.Now that they've graduated, earned their pro hero license, and worked on their quirk, Kyou has tagged along with their father and eldest siblings to Japan. They've been hired on as a teacher for U.A. High School, all while keeping the streets safe at night. Outside of these things, Kyou can be seen out and about with their father or at cafes..  QUIRK.  .
THE NERVE HERO! This quirk, as the name suggests, targets the nerves of both Kyou and the person they are focusing on. Basically, they can force people to feel what actually isn't happening ( ex. feeling as if one's arm or body is being burnt or frozen, or having a pleasant feeling of floating ), but only after they have hit a nerve or pressure point on someone's body. The effect lasts for as long as Kyou focuses on that feeling, so they're more of a support than anything else. The downside is that Kyou has to know how these things feel, so they have undergone a lot of training that has harmed them in order to be able to know how it feels. Later on, it is revealed that their meta ability can target physical quirk factors as well, but this is difficult to do as they need to know how and where the quirk manifests. This is a last resort and is mainly used on teaching the students at U.A. High about their quirks. This only lasts up to five minutes at most, and does not work on certain quirk types ( mainly heteromorphic ones ). Kyou's quirk is a sub-type of Emitter.This quirk is not very popular among the populace due to it being more of a physical, hands-on quirk, and is not as flashy as quirks that are ranked with Pro-Heroes. Despite this struggle, Kyou was a bit popular in their hometown in Canada. They are struggling quite a bit now that they are in Japan, however.

.  APPEARANCE.  .Kyou stands at about 5'6", has darkish brown hair (varying in length + color depending on the timeline), and orange eyes. Most of their outward appearance is inherited from their mother, save for their eye color, which matches their father's fierce gaze. Most of the scars from their fights are covered by said clothes, though anyone with a good eye would be able to notice the small scars on their upper arms and hands. There is a tattoo that covers their top surgery scars as well.While doing things outside of hero and teacher work, they wear cardigans and anything that they deem “cozy” ( ex. baggy clothing, like sweatpants or cargo pants, t-shirts, sweaters, etc. ). They're littered with ear piercings as well, which are usually taken out the moment they need to teach or do hero work.Their hero outfit is simple, because how else would they dress considering their quirk? It's lightweight, but strong enough to at least withstand a blow from a knife or sword, while also being somewhat resistant to the weather and elemental based quirks. Kyou has put all of this in mind when it comes to how to better themselves in the line of duty, and even wears a jacket that helps with weather as well. Their shoes help with landings and scaling buildings. (( the same can be said about their villain verse, their outfit is basically the same. )).  PERSONALITY.  .Sometimes, just sometimes, Kyou can become a difficult person to read, especially during a fight or rescue mission. They've inherited their father's passion for hero work, as well as his fierceness and stubbornness, so it can be difficult at times to work with them.Due to the bullying they endured as a child, Kyou can be camera-shy when it comes to media, but can also be rather blunt in situations as well. They try to keep their hero and personal life separate, so they'll ignore or avoid personal questions as much as possible when they are forced in front of a camera. Despite all of this, however, Kyou can open up a lot when someone finally manages to break down their walls.
